Peer Review
Impartial Peer Review Process
The journal is committed to ensuring that reviewer selection and the peer-review process are fair, objective, transparent and impartial.
Reviewers are selected on the basis of their academic expertise, and the journal seeks to avoid appointing individuals who have close professional relationships with the authors or are in direct competition with them.
Individuals whose interests may compromise their objectivity must decline an invitation to review.
To promote consistency and objectivity, reviewers assess manuscripts using standardised evaluation criteria, including originality, scholarly significance, methodological rigour, the validity of the data and analysis, clarity of presentation, compliance with ethical standards and the reliability of the conclusions. Reviews should be objective, constructive and evidence-based, and should provide clear scholarly justification.
The editorial team oversees the peer-review process to ensure fairness, consistency and compliance with the journal's ethical standards. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scholarly quality and merit of the manuscript. When reviewers make substantially different recommendations, the editor may seek an additional independent review before reaching a final decision.
Throughout the review process, reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality regarding all submitted materials and evaluate manuscripts exclusively on their scholarly merit, without discrimination based on personal characteristics, institutional affiliation or other non-scholarly factors.
These procedures ensure that publication decisions are guided solely by scholarly excellence, methodological soundness, originality and the manuscript's contribution to the advancement of knowledge.
