Guidelines for Publishing an Article in the Volume

Author Information
The author’s first name and surname should be in bold.
Academic degree and institutional affiliation should be italicised.
Article Title
The title should be bold and centred.
Article Text
References to sources and literature should be given in square brackets (example: [1, 34].). When citing two or more works, references should be separated by semicolons (example: [1, 34; 5, 45].). Punctuation marks should be placed after the reference.
Quotation marks: Georgian-style quotation marks should be used, with the opening quotation mark at the bottom and the closing quotation mark at the top („“).
A full stop should be placed outside the quotation marks (example: „––––––“.).
Paragraphs should be indented.
Particular attention should be paid to the correct use of dashes and hyphens.
When publishing a document/source, comments may be provided either at the bottom of the page or at the end of the text.
Rules for Citing Literature
The heading References and Sources Cited should be bold and centred.
Sources and literature should be listed in the order in which they are cited in the article.
Book citation format: Author’s full first name and surname, title of the book, place of publication, year of publication.
Citation format for an article published in a collection/newspaper/journal: Author’s full first name and surname, article title, followed by the words in the collection/newspaper/journal: and the title of the collection/newspaper/journal (without quotation marks), year of publication, and issue number.
Example: First Name Surname, Article Title, in: Issues of Modern and Contemporary History, 2014 (14).
Page numbers should be indicated in the in-text citation and not in the list of references.
Rules for Citing Sources
Archival document: Full name of the archive, fund number, inventory number, file number.
Website: Author’s first name and surname (if available), title of the article, link. When citing an online news or information portal, the date should also be indicated.
Summary in English
The author’s first name and surname should be in bold. The author’s details should be provided in the same format as in the Georgian version and should be italicised.
The title should be bold and centred.
The word Summary should also be centred.
This should be followed by the text of the summary.
